El objetivo no es beneficio extra sino exposici\u00f3n reducida a un riesgo concreto que no quieres, conservando las partes de una posici\u00f3n que s\u00ed quieres. Es un seguro: renuncias a algo de potencial o pagas un peque\u00f1o coste a cambio de protecci\u00f3n contra un movimiento adverso.<\/p>\n<h2>Ejemplo num\u00e9rico<\/h2>\n<p>Posees una cartera de acciones que quieres conservar a largo plazo, pero temes una ca\u00edda de mercado a corto plazo. En lugar de vender todo y disparar impuestos y costes de reentrada, pones corto un CFD sobre \u00edndice dimensionado para igualar aproximadamente la exposici\u00f3n de mercado de tu cartera. Si el mercado cae, la ganancia del CFD compensa la p\u00e9rdida de la cartera; si sube, la p\u00e9rdida del CFD se compensa con la ganancia de la cartera.
