Siempre operas una contra otra. Comprar EUR\/USD significa estar largo en euros y corto en d\u00f3lares al mismo tiempo. Vende EUR\/USD y das la vuelta a ambos lados. El precio del par es una proporci\u00f3n: cu\u00e1ntas unidades de la divisa de cotizaci\u00f3n vale una unidad de la divisa base en este momento.<\/p>\n<h2>Ejemplo<\/h2>\n<p>EUR\/USD = 1,0856. EUR es la base, USD es la cotizaci\u00f3n. Para abrir un mini lote, tomas 10.000 euros de exposici\u00f3n y shorteas el equivalente en d\u00f3lares. Si EUR\/USD sube a 1,0900, los euros que sostienes valen m\u00e1s d\u00f3lares y ganas. Si baja a 1,0800, pierdes. La cantidad en d\u00f3lares de cada movimiento de pip la fija la divisa de cotizaci\u00f3n, por eso los pares en USD son simples y los pares cotizados en JPY exigen un c\u00e1lculo distinto del valor del pip.<\/p>\n<h2>Tres categor\u00edas<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Mayores:<\/strong> cualquier par con USD y una de las siete divisas m\u00e1s grandes (EUR, JPY, GBP, AUD, CAD, CHF, NZD). M\u00e1xima liquidez, spreads m\u00e1s apretados.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Menores (cruces):<\/strong> pares entre divisas mayores sin USD, como EUR\/GBP o AUD\/JPY. Spreads algo m\u00e1s amplios, a\u00fan l\u00edquidos.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ex\u00f3ticos:<\/strong> una divisa mayor emparejada con una emergente, como USD\/TRY o EUR\/PLN. Spreads amplios, con gaps, movidos por noticias.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Por qu\u00e9 importa<\/h2>\n<p>Elegir el par correcto decide coste, volatilidad y horarios. Los mayores cotizan 24 horas con spreads de 0,6 a 1,5 pips. Los ex\u00f3ticos pueden tener 30 pips de spread y gaps overnight que revientan stops.
