Comment \u00e7a fonctionne<\/h2>\n

L’ERC-20 d\u00e9finit un ensemble de fonctions requises dans un contrat Solidity : supply totale, solde d’une adresse, transfert, approbation et allowance. Un contrat de token qui impl\u00e9mente ces fonctions est automatiquement compatible avec tout outil qui attend de l’ERC-20. Le standard a \u00e9t\u00e9 propos\u00e9 en 2015 et est devenu la base de dizaines de milliers de tokens incluant la plupart des stablecoins (USDT, USDC, DAI) et des tokens de projet.<\/p>\n

Exemple<\/h2>\n

L’USDC est un token ERC-20. Son adresse de contrat sur Ethereum est fixe ; n’importe qui peut v\u00e9rifier son code, voir la supply totale on-chain et lire chaque transfert. Envoyer de l’USDC \u00e0 une autre adresse appelle la fonction de transfert. Approuver Uniswap \u00e0 d\u00e9penser votre USDC appelle la fonction d’approbation. Les m\u00eames patterns fonctionnent pour des milliers d’autres tokens, ce qui rend les wallets comme MetaMask universels entre eux.<\/p>\n

Pourquoi c’est important<\/h2>\n

L’ERC-20 a cr\u00e9\u00e9 le mod\u00e8le d’une \u00e9conomie de tokens sans permission. N’importe qui peut d\u00e9ployer un nouveau token et le faire fonctionner avec tout l’\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me Ethereum sans coordination. L’inconv\u00e9nient est que le standard rend trivial la cr\u00e9ation de scam tokens : la plupart des adresses ERC-20 on-chain sont soit des honeypots, soit des rug pulls, soit des contrats vanit\u00e9 sans liquidit\u00e9.
