Le conseil d’administration d\u00e9clare un dividende, en sp\u00e9cifiant le montant par action, la date d’enregistrement (qui poss\u00e8de compte), la date ex-dividende (typiquement un jour ouvrable avant la date d’enregistrement) et la date de paiement. Les d\u00e9tenteurs qui poss\u00e8dent l’action \u00e0 la cl\u00f4ture avant la date ex re\u00e7oivent le paiement. Le cours de l’action chute d’environ le montant du dividende \u00e0 la date ex, donc le dividende n’est pas de l’argent gratuit pour les traders court terme.<\/p>\n

Exemple<\/h2>\n

Apple d\u00e9clare un dividende trimestriel de 0,24 $ par action, date d’enregistrement le 12 f\u00e9vrier, ex-date le 9 f\u00e9vrier, paiement le 15 f\u00e9vrier. Un d\u00e9tenteur de 100 actions avant le 9 f\u00e9vrier re\u00e7oit 24 $ le 15 f\u00e9vrier. L’action ouvre typiquement environ 0,24 $ plus bas le 9 f\u00e9vrier. Annualis\u00e9, cela fait 0,96 $ par action, soit environ 0,5 pour cent sur une action \u00e0 180 $. Coca-Cola, en revanche, paye environ 1,84 $ annualis\u00e9 sur une action \u00e0 60 $, autour de 3 pour cent de rendement.<\/p>\n
