Sous le r\u00e8glement T+1 US actuel, la date ex est typiquement le m\u00eame jour que la date d&rsquo;enregistrement. Acheter avant la cl\u00f4ture ex-date, vous recevez le dividende ; acheter \u00e0 ou apr\u00e8s l&rsquo;ouverture ex-date, non. Le cours ouvre typiquement plus bas d&rsquo;environ le montant du dividende \u00e0 la date ex.<\/p>\n<h2>Exemple<\/h2>\n<p>Une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9clare un dividende trimestriel de 0,50 $ avec date d&rsquo;enregistrement vendredi 14 mars et date de paiement le 28 mars. Sous T+1, la date ex est aussi le 14 mars. Les investisseurs d\u00e9tenant \u00e0 la cl\u00f4ture du jeudi 13 mars ont droit au dividende. L&rsquo;action qui a cl\u00f4tur\u00e9 \u00e0 50,00 $ le 13 mars ouvre typiquement \u00e0 environ 49,50 $ le 14 mars (le cash quitte la soci\u00e9t\u00e9, donc la valeur de l&rsquo;action baisse en cons\u00e9quence). Les strat\u00e9gies court terme de capture de dividende reposent sur cette chute d&rsquo;ouverture \u00e9tant plus petite que le montant du dividende ; en pratique, apr\u00e8s co\u00fbts et imp\u00f4ts, cet \u00e9cart est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement non rentable.<\/p>\n<h2>Pourquoi c&rsquo;est important<\/h2>\n<p>La date ex est la seule date qui compte pour capturer un dividende. Beaucoup d&rsquo;investisseurs retail confondent date d&rsquo;enregistrement et date ex et ratent des dividendes en achetant un jour de trading trop tard.
