Comment \u00e7a fonctionne<\/h2>\n

Quand une position leverag\u00e9e \u00e9volue contre le trader, l’\u00e9quit\u00e9 du compte baisse. Les brokers calculent le niveau de marge en continu : \u00e9quit\u00e9 divis\u00e9e par marge utilis\u00e9e \u00d7 100. Quand cela tombe sous le seuil d’appel de marge du broker (couramment 100 pour cent pour le retail, plus bas pour l’institutionnel), le broker notifie le trader et exige action. Si l’\u00e9quit\u00e9 continue \u00e0 tomber jusqu’au niveau de stop-out (couramment 50 pour cent), le broker ferme automatiquement les positions en commen\u00e7ant par la plus perdante jusqu’\u00e0 ce que le compte repasse au-dessus du seuil.<\/p>\n

Exemple<\/h2>\n

Un trader a 10 000 $ d’\u00e9quit\u00e9 et ouvre une position exigeant 2 000 $ de marge. Le niveau de marge d\u00e9marre \u00e0 500 pour cent. La position perd 7 500 $ : l’\u00e9quit\u00e9 tombe \u00e0 2 500 $, le niveau de marge \u00e0 125 pour cent. Sous 100 pour cent (\u00e9quit\u00e9 sous marge utilis\u00e9e) d\u00e9clenche l’appel de marge. Au stop-out (\u00e9quit\u00e9 = 1 000 $, niveau de marge 50 pour cent), le broker ferme la position automatiquement au prix que le march\u00e9 donne, verrouillant la perte. Le trader ne peut pas r\u00e9cup\u00e9rer d’un stop-out en attendant que le prix s’inverse ; la position est partie.<\/p>\n

Pourquoi c’est important<\/h2>\n

Les appels de marge sont la fa\u00e7on dont les comptes leverag\u00e9s explosent. Un mouvement adverse de 2 pour cent au levier 50:1 \u00e9quivaut \u00e0 100 pour cent de perte du compte ; le stop-out force la r\u00e9alisation avant que la r\u00e9cup\u00e9ration soit possible. D\u00e9fense : dimensionnez les positions pour que le pire mouvement plausible ram\u00e8ne le niveau de marge pas plus bas que 200 pour cent.
