You can send crypto from your Volity wallet two ways: external sends to any blockchain address (BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC supported networks), or internal transfers to other Volity users (instant, free). $0 from Volity on external sends; standard on-chain network fees apply per blockchain. CySEC-regulated framework throughout.
Two transfer types
External transfer (on-chain): Send crypto to any wallet address on the supported blockchain. The transaction goes on-chain and is subject to network fees, confirmation times, and irreversibility. Use for moving crypto to your own self-custody wallet, paying someone, or transferring to another exchange.
Internal transfer (Volity-to-Volity): Send crypto or fiat instantly to another Volity user. No on-chain transaction, no network fee, no confirmation delay. Use for splitting bills, paying other Volity users, or transferring between your own Volity accounts.
Supported networks for external sends
| Asset | Network options |
|---|---|
| BTC | Bitcoin mainnet (on-chain) |
| ETH | Ethereum mainnet (ERC20) |
| USDT | TRC20 (Tron), ERC20 (Ethereum) |
| USDC | ERC20 (Ethereum), TRC20 (Tron in some regions) |
| Other altcoins | Native network per asset |
Always verify the network at both ends. Sending USDT TRC20 to an ERC20 deposit address can result in lost funds. The Volity send interface displays the network clearly before confirmation.
How to send externally
- Open your Volity wallet
- Click “Send” or “Withdraw”
- Select the crypto (BTC, ETH, etc.)
- Select the network (TRC20 vs ERC20 for USDT/USDC)
- Enter destination address (copy from external wallet, verify carefully)
- Enter amount
- Network fee deducted from amount or added on top (depends on chain)
- Confirm via 2FA
- Transaction broadcast to network
- Confirmation per network speed (BTC ~30 min, ETH ~5 min, TRC20 ~3 min)
KYC must be complete before first withdrawal. Withdrawal-frequency limits may apply for very high-volume users.
How to send internally
- Open your Volity wallet
- Click “Send to Volity user”
- Enter recipient’s Volity username or registered email
- Enter amount and currency
- Optional note
- Confirm
Instant. Free. No network fee because no blockchain transaction occurs, the transfer is a database update between two Volity accounts.
Network fees in plain numbers
| Network | Typical fee per transaction |
|---|---|
| Bitcoin | $1-15 (varies with congestion) |
| Ethereum (ERC20) | $2-30 (varies with gas) |
| Tron (TRC20) | ~$1 |
| Solana | <$0.01 |
| Polygon | <$0.10 |
Volity does not add a surcharge. The fee is paid to the network (miners or validators) for processing your transaction.
Address verification
The most common loss scenario in crypto sending: pasting the wrong address. Three precautions:
- Always verify the full address. Compare first 6 and last 6 characters minimum. Better: full address
- Use an address book. Save addresses you send to repeatedly. Volity’s address book lets you label trusted addresses
- Test with small amount first. For new addresses, send a small test (e.g., $5 worth) before the full amount
Volity does not control destinations. Once a transaction is broadcast, it cannot be reversed. The address book and 2FA reduce the risk of mistakes; they cannot eliminate it.
Sending limits
- External sends: subject to KYC tier. Standard accounts have daily and monthly limits visible in your account portal. VIP tier unlocks higher limits
- Internal transfers: no Volity-imposed limit, subject only to your available balance
- First-time external send: may require additional verification for security

Frequently asked questions
How do I send crypto from my Volity wallet?
External: Send menu, select crypto and network, enter destination address, confirm via 2FA. Internal (Volity-to-Volity): enter username or email, amount, send. Internal is instant and free; external pays network fees on-chain.
Are there fees to send crypto from Volity?
Volity does not charge for sends. Network fees apply for on-chain transactions ($1-30 typical depending on chain). Internal Volity-to-Volity transfers are free and instant, no network fee because no blockchain transaction.
Can I send crypto to another exchange from Volity?
Yes. Get the deposit address from the target exchange (and the correct network for USDT/USDC), enter into Volity’s send interface, confirm. Same process as sending to any external wallet.
What is the difference between sending and trading crypto?
Sending moves crypto from your Volity wallet to another address (yours or someone else’s). Trading is buying or selling crypto for a different asset or fiat, the crypto stays in custody, only ownership changes hands. Different operations entirely.
How long does a crypto send take?
External depends on network: Bitcoin ~30 minutes, Ethereum ~5 minutes, Tron ~3 minutes, Solana seconds. Internal Volity-to-Volity is instant.
What happens if I send to the wrong address?
Crypto transactions are irreversible. Once broadcast and confirmed, the funds belong to whoever controls the destination address. Volity cannot reverse a confirmed transaction. The address-book and test-transaction precautions reduce risk.
Can I send crypto to myself?
Yes. Sending from your Volity wallet to your own external self-custody wallet (Ledger, MetaMask, Trezor) is a common pattern for long-term hold. The transaction is the same as any external send; Volity does not differentiate.
